An archangel is believed to be a leader of angels. We can call on, or invoke these grand leaders of heaven, when we need them most to: protect, support, encourage, guide and surround us. The word “archangel” is derived from Greek, meaning “chief” and “angel” means “messenger” in Hebrew. We can always pray, however incorporating an archangel into the mix is like adding frosting to a cake, it will enrich your prayer experience and thus your results.
Archangel Michael and Gabriel are specifically mentioned in the bible. You have most likely heard of the archangel Michael, who’s name means, “Who is like God.” Archangel Michael is considered a mighty prince of angels, a protector and a leader of other angels.
The name Gabriel means ‘God’s Hero’ and he is God’s special messenger angel. On several occasions in the Bible he is given the job of coming to earth to give important announcements and tell of special events.
It was Gabriel who is known for telling Mary that she would be the mother of Jesus. It’s also highly likely that it was Gabriel who spoke to Joseph and told him that Mary would have a special baby called Jesus.
To invoke the power of heaven is to super charge your day. I pray your days are filled with love and light from God’s mighty archangels and all the miracles provided therein.
Be well!
